How We Scope a Project

Here is the process we follow when we scope a new project for a client:
First, we meet with the client to review the project specifics, including objectives, goals, and other aspects of the work
Next, we develop a project outline and a guaranteed-maximum-fee budget which we review with the client
Once the client approves the project and the budget, we then write a detailed project plan, including definition of objectives, detailed project procedure, specific project assumptions, and a working schedule
Also included are a specific definition of deliverables and a description of the necessary working interface between JPW&Co and the client during the course of the project
And all projects are guaranteed not to exceed the approved budget, as long as the scope of work does not change
Our total objective is to give the client maximum value for his/her investment. Thus all JPW&Co project agreements carry the following note:
Statement of Value and Satisfaction
It is the goal of John P. Williams & Company to provide maximum value and
satisfaction to our clients on every project. Should (client) ever wish to stop work on this project, JPW&Co will terminate this letter
of agreement upon written notification. In that case, (client)
will be responsible only for payment of work completed as of receipt of
notification.
